“ I wonder how much my electric bill will be this
month?”
How often have you
asked
yourself that question? Wouldn’t it be nice if you knew how
much
your electric
bill was each month so that you could plan your finances better? Why
not put
your residential
energy account on “Budget
Billing”?
Big
Country Electric Cooperative offers
Budget Billing. This
billing option allows you to pay an average of the billed revenue for
the last
twelve months. The billing system automatically calculates the average
each
month taking the last twelve months’ revenue into
consideration.
Your amount
will not be exactly the same each month but will be a true average.
Variable
budget billed accounts settle with
the May revenue
month. If you have a credit balance at the time of settlement, you will
not
make a payment for that month. You will begin paying your monthly
budget amount
the following month.
You must have a
twelve-month usage history in order to take advantage of budget
billing.
